Building and Development
Experience Makes the Difference
Since the '80s, I have been fully engaged in the building, development and restoration businesses. I have enjoyed the challenges of doing raw land development; taking an undeveloped piece of land and designing and implementing a plan that balanced environmental protection with good community design. During this time, I had the opportunity to develop 2 subdivisions from start to finish. Beginning with the application to the engineering of roads, drainage courses, waste disposal systems (septic systems) to building the roads.
During this same period and through to present day, I have received hands on experience as a general contractor while constructing two homes, one in the town Marbletown, (Stone Ridge) and the other in town of Rochester, (Accord). Additionally I have fully restored two commercial buildings one in Town of Rosendale, the other in
the City of Kingston. I enjoy renovating and restoring old buildings .
Between 2001-2003 as a member of the Rosendale Town Board, I oversaw the design and construction of the new Rosendale Community Center. This building became the first local municipal facility to be built using state of the art green technologies including a geothermal heating and cooling systems and 10 Kilo Volt solar array. Today the building actually produces excess electric energy that the town actually sells to the utility company, a process known as net metering.
This means that as a prospective buyer of real estate, you can
feel confident that as your buyer’s agent, I will employ my experience
and expertise in the building and development business in assisting you
with either the purchase of land to build your dream home or the
evaluation of a pre-existing home.
I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and walk some land or dig into a nice old farmhouse or anything that strikes your fancy
.
