Seasoned Cultural Affairs Advocate

balcony_views___47In 1987 I became one of the founding members of the Rosendale Main Street Association. The group was made up of a number of Main Street property owners and merchants who were motivated to see the former Village of Rosendale become revitalized as a community center for commerce and civic life again.  Little did I know this would be the beginning of a 20-year involvement in local community organizing and municipal service. While too many to list, some highlights include:

  • 1987: Founding Member and VP of the Rosendale Main Street Association
  • 1989: Project for Public Spaces downtown revitalization program
  • 1996: Member of the NYS Council on the Arts decentralization grants board for Dutchess and Ulster
  • 1995–1996: Founding Director of the Rosendale Street Festival
  • 1996: Member of Town of Rosendale Economic Development Commission
  • 1996–1998: Board of Trustees, Century House Historical Society
  • 1997: Founding Member of the Rosendale Chamber of Commerce
  • 1999: Member of the Hudson Valley Public Access Coalition
  • 1998–2001: Member of the Hudson Valley Tourism Development Council
  • 1999–2001: Host of SOFAC Environmental TV
  • 2013–Present: Board Member of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail Association

My 20-year history of civic involvement has given me a depth of experience and contacts that have helped me serve my clients well with their real estate needs. Whether it’s my passion for the local history, or my respect for our region’s natural environment, I am able to provide information and resources to my buyer and seller clients that few other agents can offer.

I look forward to working with you on your next purchase or sale of a home, property or business.
